Recycled Silver Kinetic Pendant
Oxidized
Solid recycled sterling silver kinetic components
Sterling silver bail and hinge
24” oxidized sterling wheat chain
These recycled silver pendants are a metaphor for rebirth. They were once bits and scraps of metal, mistakes, and attempts. I melted them down with fire and quenched in cold water. A rebirth. I forged, filed, sanded, and polished until a new piece was created. It’s not a soft and gentle process to create something totally different than before - and so much better. Full of texture, grit, imperfection, and love. Every bit of the old life is used up to transform into something new. The mistakes have a new life. There is hope. The transformation is kinetic and tangible. Do you fidget? I can’t keep my fingers off these. They are so satisfying to spin when you are pondering.
